How to lose weight fast, with these three mindset tips

Would you like to lose weight fast? Are you fed up with not getting anywhere with your weight loss? Well you need to get a lose weight mindset. fast. Yes it is totally possible to lose weight using your mind. In fact, I think weight loss starts in your mind, here’s how.

1. Focus on what you like.

So many of us focus on what we don’t like about ourselves and we compare ourselves unfavourably to others. Instead, we need to swop that around.

To be able to lose weight fast you need to think about what you do like and focus on it. Even if it is one thing ,focus on that.

Swop out the words hate or do not like to they’re ok/ alright. So instead of I hate my stomach, swop it to my stomach is ok. 

Picture the body that you do want. Instead of looking at supermodels and comparing yourself to them, forget them, you are not them. You are you and it’s time to find the things that you like and are unique about you. What qualities do you like about yourself? Are you kind? Generous? Good at listening? Being there for people? Funny? Celebrate what you like about you.

2. Mindfulness. Develop your lose weight mindset.

To stop your unwanted behaviours and eating patterns you have got to become aware of what you are currently doing that is leading you to where you are now. That’s what mindfulness is, becoming extremely aware of your patterns of behaviour and what is driving that behaviour. To stop reaching for those biscuits, you need to become aware of what is driving you to eat those biscuits. The way to do this is every time you reach out for food, you ask what do I want, what do I really want?

To help you, you can keep a journal of what you ate. Go back just a little bit to what you were feeling just before you ate it. What did you notice? Do you eat out of boredom, anger or upset? Go into why you get bored, why you are angry. To be able to lose weight fast you need to start dealing with those emotions. When you can fulfil the initial emotional need, it stops you going to fill that need with food.

3. Give yourself some slack.

We can be judgemental on ourselves. If we are on a diet, we think that we must stick to it rigidly for it to work. When we fall off it, we are so harsh on ourselves. We judge ourselves to be bad people, we are useless failures. How do we feel after this? Well chances are we felt disappointed in ourselves for failing off this diet, with all of these harsh words it is no doubt making us feel worse.

Now if you fall off your diet, you have not done anything wrong, you have not failed. You have simply come away from a set of guidelines that did not cater for you being human and living your life. So swop out the harshness, for compassion and understanding. Instead of I’m rubbish, try, it’s ok I just had a blip. Instead of I’m useless try, I’m actually ok, most of this week I have done really well. Stop and give yourself some words of encouragement. To lose weight fast, it’s amazing how well this will work and how quickly you will feel so much better.
